In 2017, we’re raising money for Weston Park Cancer Charity on behalf of Emily Lunn, who is currently receiving treatment there. Emily has stage 3B breast cancer, with an uncertain prognosis – but she’s facing it with a typically upbeat outlook and determination to meet the challenge head on.

Mother to a young family and active member of the Kimberworth Striders Running Club, Emily and her friends have already raised thousands for Weston Park through fundraising nights and ‘Spinathons’. She’s even inspired her nine-year-old son Billy to get involved, with a sponsored run and head shave.

We want the Brinsworth 10K to continue the fantastic start that Emily has made, raising as much money as we can for this life-changing charity. Many of you will have had friends and family affected by cancer, so this is a great opportunity to help win the battle against it, giving people like Emily even more hope for the future.

Join Emily in her fight against cancer at the Brinsworth 10K

Take part in (or come along and support) this year’s Brinsworth 10K, and you’ll be helping to do something amazing.

We are delighted to say the Brinsworth 10K will be back for its 8th year in 2017 and will once again start/finish at Brinsworth Comprehensive School.

Last years Brinsworth 10k was such an amazing day, and it was an great effort by all involved who all helped to raise thousands for Newman School. Ross Floyd returned to take  back his crown in the mens race with an unbelievable time of 32:37 min. And Gemma Woodhouse took the woman's crown finishing the race in a superb  time of 41:04 min

After last year's success of Mr Burtons fun run we will once again be putting this on, it was great to see the kids getting involved and they all did absolutely superb let's hope we can get even more kids involved this year. Entries Just £3 all proceeds going to charity
